All Beginner Surf lessons

• Are private and taught by born-and-raised local Andrew Sadler​

• Ages 6+*

  • *If there are three or more children 12 and under in a lesson, one other adult must be in the water to help manage the children (doesn't have to be in lesson, but able to help control the kid's boards and such)

  • **Lessons of any size with minors must have an accompanying adult on the beach or in the water for the duration of the lesson.

• Participants must transport themselves to and from the beach.

• Cancellation fee: $20 per person until 48 hours before the lesson. No refunds within 48 hours of lesson time

Beginner Surf lessons With Gear

• 2.5 hours for plenty of time to change into your wetsuits at Live To Surf surf shop, travel to the beach, and address your surfing needs during the beach and ocean sessions. We will discuss safety and practice technique in a brief beach session before building our skills with plenty of ocean time.

• We will meet at Live To Surf surf shop to try on wetsuits. We will then drive to the beach in separate vehicles.

• Gear must be returned at the end of the lesson. If you would like to keep the gear after the lesson, please book a "Beginner Surf Lesson" and get 20% off gear rentals at Live To Surf.

Beginner Surf lessons Without Gear

• 2.5 hours for plenty of time to address your needs during the beach and ocean sessions. We will discuss safety and practice technique in a brief beach session before building our skills with plenty of ocean time.

• We will meet in the parking lot of the designated beach. The specific beach will be determined the day before the lesson.

• Don’t have a gear? Get 20% off of your rentals with Live to Surf! Receive your promo code after checkout. Alternatively, book "Beginner Surf Lesson w/ Gear" to have gear for the duration of your lesson.

Hourly Surf Coaching

• Ideal for intermediate to advanced surfers who already know ocean safety, can paddle out the back, and can catch waves on their own at a minimum.

• Instructor will paddle out with you, helping you pick the right waves and giving feedback on technique.

• 1 hour minimum. Additional hours can be added during session for more instruction!

• Ages 10+*

  • *Sessions with minors must have an accompanying adult on the beach or in the water for the duration of the session.​

• Additional students can be added for $30/hr. 4+ participants get 10% off

Video Review Surf Coaching

• Ideal for intermediate to advanced surfers who already know ocean safety, can paddle out the back, and can catch waves on their own at a minimum.

• 2 sessions in this service:

  1. Filming Session: Approximately 1.5 hours are spent on the beach with your coach, who will be filming your surfing and giving you feedback with drills to practice.

  2. Video Review Session: You will meet with your coach online via Google Meet to review the footage and discuss what is working, and what isn't working in your technique.​

• Ages 10+*

  • *Sessions with minors must have an accompanying adult on the beach or in the water for the duration of the session.​

• Additional students can be added for $75 per person.

• Inquire about local's discounts.

• Must book 1 day in advance.

• Gear not included.
